Rusty Byars

Bradley ” Rusty” Barton Byars 53, of Demopolis, passed away March 3, 2015.Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday March 8, 2015, at First United Methodist Church of Demopolis with the Rev. David Willis officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 1 to 2:45 at the Church. Rusty was born April 19, 1961, in Demopolis, Al. to the late William Bradley and Elena Sue Upchurch Byars. Rusty was preceded by his parents, William Bradley and Elena Sue Upchurch Byars ; sister, Janet Marie Byars; brother, Elmer “Tiny” Seale. Rusty is survived by his wife, Ludie Mackey Byars of Demopolis; daughters, Janet Lynn Byars and Mary Sue Byars both of Demopolis. Pallbearers will be Nick Fendley, Corey McCormick, Charles Wingfield, Marshal Colburn, Clay Elliot, Frank Dunn, Shane Aultman, Bill Noland, Ben Cochran and Stephen Cochran. Honorary pallbearers will be Demopolis Lodge No. 49 and the Employees and Staff of Alabama Catfish Feed mill. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to the Demopolis Lodge No. 49 or Dixie Youth Softball p.o. box 1044, Demopolis, Al. 36732.

Russell Lee “Rusty” Lilly

Russell Lee “Rusty” Lilly, 60 of Lacey’s Spring died Friday, April 11, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Lilly was born November 24, 1953 in Moberly, Missouri the son of Carson W. and Myrtis A. Lilly. He was a high School and a college graduate and served in the United States Army. He and the former Deborah Bowden were married 42 years and have called Lacey’s Spring their home since 1995. He is survived by his wife: Debbie Lilly; three daughters and sons-in-law: LeAnn and Don Walker, Christin and Jay Fults and Mandy and Eric Hamilton; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; his mother: Myrtis Lilly Prewitt; a brother and three sisters and preceded in death by his father: Carson W. Lilly. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Brindlee Mountain, Morgan City, Brother Rickey Hamilton, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery, Lacey’s Spring, Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Daniel Bowden, Jay Fults, Eric Hamilton, Joe Helfert, Don Walker, Mike Weisenborn, Larry Wolfe and George Vacanti. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel, Morgan City. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in memory of Rusty Lilly to the USO.
